We can help on a smaller scale too. We engineers build stuff with the greater goal of benefitting the people, the world. So everything you do, you inadvertently contribute to the society and help make the world a better place. Along with my full-time job, I also try to volunteer in various organizations with the aim of helping spread awareness about science.
