Can you switch from biomedical engineering to environmental sciences?

I've done my bachelors in Biomedical Engineering but I've always had this longing interest to study environmental sciences and related studies. Will my BME degree make me eligible for postgrad studies in Environmental Sciences.

I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner!

I really think that so much of your BME will transfer to grad studies in Environmental. You would certainly have an advantage in the eco-toxicology sub discipline!

As a first step, take a look at courses in environmental grad studies and determine the prerequisites. Sit down with a grad academic advisor in your university’s environmental department; if needed, they may indicate that you could make up any deficiencies using elective spots. Your situation will be specific to the courses that make up each degree, at your specific school(s). IMO, you should be just fine 🙂
