How can I be sure I want to be an Engineer?

Hello Debbie, I am 12 in a STEM class. I was wondering how do I know if I am in the right place. I love doing puzzles and I never give up and keep going until I am finish. I want to know for sure can be an Engineer? I never built anything because I don't know what to build but I do sometimes play with my brother's blocks. I never thought of engineering until now what should I do?
