How do I know if engineering is the career for me?

I'm about to start my second year in engineering but I'm still worried I've chosen the wrong career path. I love maths and exams are not a problem for me, but I get super stressed and unsure when it comes to design projects. I do like working with my hands but I'm just not sure if engineering is for me. I'm thinking of transferring to maths or data science but I want to know that my work is making a difference somewhere, and I'm not sure if I would get that satisfaction from maths. Do you have any advice for how I can decide, or what I should be thinking about?
