Architecture has a lot more studio classes, design, and drawing / sketching to it. Architectural Engineering studies both architecture and engineering. When you complete an AE course, you’ll have an engineering degree, which you can specialize in Mechanical Systems (closely related to the energy sector), Electrical/Lighting Systems, Structural or Construction Managament.

It seems architects work more hours than engineers. Unfortunately, I’ve also heard that architects get paid less but I don’t know how true that is.

Overall, it’s really whether you want to be an architect or an engineer, which will do more calculations and analysis for buildings.
