2005 Save the Dolphins 2005 Save the Dolphins Each year, thousands of dolphins die after beaching themselves, often in spite of efforts of volunteers working furiously to move them back out to sea. Imagine that a pod of dolphins has mysteriously come ashore and you are asked to help . Contestants were asked to devise a solution to this problem using design principles and processes from one or more fields of engineering, removing the dolphins from the beach and safely back into their home in the water.

NACME Scholarship Programs NACME Scholarship Programs The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering aims to enrich society with an American workforce that champions diversity in STEM by increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in engineering and computer science. To do this they have become the largest provider of college scholarships for underrepresented minorities pursuing degrees at schools of engineering. How do you become a NACME Scholar? Start by applying to attend one of the NACME Partner Institutions. These universities receive grants from NACME to make scholarships available specifically for minority students in engineering.
