combining environmental engineering and humane farming of animals

Hey! So, I have a passion for saving the environment, obviously if this is my desired career but I also have a passion for the humane farming of animals and I was wondering if I could tie the two in? Like, I know I could only do so much but I want to make a change in how animals are farmed and the impact they have on our environment so I'm curious if I could make the two work together. Thanks!

    Hi Olivia,
This is certainly something that can fit together- in fact, I went to school at Michigan State University and was part of their Biosystems Engineering program which is in the Agricultural college. The path you are talking about is certainly something that the professors there (and other agricultural based schools in the Midwest) would be very familiar with and support your learning/passion. I hope you have continued on your path with environmental engineering- if I can be of help with where you are now, please reach out to me!
    Thanks,
    Kristin
