Michelle, Downey, CA asked Tiffany Johnston, ERM AddedFriday, October 16, 2015 at 11:43 PM Did you ever struggle in math? Hello Tiffany, My name is Michelle and I am currently attending a community college. It is my third year there and I have recently changed my major to chemical engineering because I fell in love with chemistry and physics. I'd like to focus, like you, in environmental issues because it is something I am very passionate about. I am very excited to what is to come now that I decided on this major. However, there is still a doubt in the back of my mind because I know engineering has a lot of math. I have never failed a math class, but it really is not my strength. My question is, did you or did you have colleagues that had the same problem as me? And were they able to overcome this problem? I look forward to your response, thank you for your time! I failed calculus 1 the first time I took it, but earned a B on my second attempt! The most important thing is to keep trying, and working hard to overcome the weaknesses we have. Everyone has a course that is harder for them than their peers, don't let is stop you. Good luck!
