Jem, Beijing asked Lauren White, Cisco Systems AddedThursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM How difficult is engineering really? Hi, I wanted to choose Engineering as my profession but I wanted to ask how difficult is it. I mean if I study 5 to 6 hours per day, would it be enough to keep my G.P.A to the fullest? I'm good at Physics, average at maths but poor in chem. But If I had to study like 8 to 10 hours per day, then I'd consider another major. This is because your homework will generally consist of problems that cannot be done in an hour or two. The problems usually require review of the lecture notes for that week, in addition to reading and studying the book. So, in short, engineering can be difficult, but if you work hard, it will be worth it.
