Thanks for your question. First, I will suggest that you start learning about the engineering disciplines to identify your area(s) of focus. Once you have identified the branch of engineering you would like to pursue, then you can start taking courses that will assist you with both majors/goals (i.e., becoming an engineer and a scientist). Regarding Mathematics, I suggest you take a test to determine your strengths and weaknesses in that subject. Then, you can explore available resources to improve your skills and master your weaknesses. The point is that you do not need to like Mathematics or a subject, you need to learn the level of the required information to the point you will be able to use that skill set to understand engineering and scientific concepts.
