Is it fun? Also I am very inspired by you. I think it's great that a women is working in that type of field. When I was very little I didn't know what I wanted to do or who I was. After seeing my first basketball game I knew what I wanted. I wanted to be a basketball player. Many people think that women can't do things that men can do. Like sports and engineering. That has to stop Girls all over the world should come together and show people what girl power is! Anyway hope you can answer this, and love NIKE my favorite show<3 Hope you can send me the latest design on the shoe : ) Related to Internships & Jobs Reset Sort By Default Jennifer Polivka , Nike Answered Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM I'm bummed that I didn't see this earlier! My deepest apologies. I love my job at Nike and a lot of things contribute to that feeling. Of course, the science and testing aspect of my job is the type of thing that I have an interest and aptitude for. But the company atmosphere and the people that I work with also provide an amazing, positive contribution to my work-life balance. To me, it's a definite example of "work hard, play hard" -- some days are long and at times stressful, but it is balanced out by aspects that are fun (running trails on campus, social and team building events, etc). I would also like to add that the department I work in is almost exactly 50-50 between guys and gals (there's actually slightly more girls!). That may or may not be representative of other departments or technical fields in the company (I have no idea), but I think it's a positive sign for women in science. To me, it's two fold -- 1 is getting women pursuing the field if it's something they are interested in (not every girl needs to go into STEM, there are plenty of other things to be passionate about); 2 is building the atmosphere where women can be promoted into positions of authority in the STEM fields. Hopefully we're getting there little by little, all throughout the world!
