    One of the answers you gave with regard to specializing in a field really caught my eye. I am a mechanical engineer with experience in a variety of companies from fabricating gas cylinders, to making bandsaw machines, to setting up cattle feed and other industries locally.     I want to go into engineering but am a little doubtful about which branch of engineering I take. I was hoping you could help me. I would like to go into a field that allows me to build and experiment but mostly mechanical stuff, so that I can build machines (not big ones) and will also be able to design its software.
