  • What I Do

I am currently working as a software engineer! I write code to create new feature in apps and fix things that are not working as expected. I also spend a lot of time collaborating with and talking to other people!

  • Why Engineering?

I have always loved math and science because I love problem solving. I especially love physics because the problem solving that you do is directly applicable to the real world! I always thought it was so cool to be able to perform calculations and then set up experiments that verified those calculations. Now, as a software engineer, I am constantly problem solving pretty much every day at work and I really enjoy getting to do that.

  • School Days

I went to University of Utah and majored in physics with a minor in computer science.

  • Best Part

I've gotten to meet so many amazing and talented people by working remotely whom I never would have had the chance to meet otherwise. I would not be the engineer I am today without my learnings from all of the people that I've met and all the folks who believed in and supported me.

  • Proud Moments

Landing my first software engineering role! I was so nervous to interview since I didn't have any internships on my resume and had never done a software engineering interview when I was applying right before I graduated college. I am so thankful to the company that hired me and the opportunities it has allowed me to pursue since that first job.

  • Want to be an Engineer?

Don't be afraid to ask for help! Whether it be from friends, family, teachers, tutors, coworkers, managers, whomever! I personally learn so much faster when I am working with other people and I definitely would not have gotten to where I am today all on my own.

  • Hobbies

I play a lot of sand volleyball! Many of my weekends are taken up by sand volleyball. I also love yoga and am a yoga instructor at studio in town. When I'm at home you can find me reading a book (almost always sci-fi), watching something on tv, or gaming!

Volunteer Opportunities
  • I am willing to be contacted by educators for possible speaking engagements in schools or in after school programs or summer camps.
  • I am willing to serve as science fair judge or other temporary volunteer at a local school.
  • I am willing to be interviewed by interested students via email.
