Sophia, San Angelo, TX asked Kara Cox, Chevron AddedSunday, May 26, 2013 at 11:56 PM How can I get started in junior high? I'm in junior high and I recently went to the Girl Scouts STEM conference. I really love math, science, and making things with my hands. I was wondering if engineering would be a good career to think about or what you would recommend for me to do, especially at this age. =D Related to Choosing a Degree Reset Sort By Default Kara Cox , Chevron Answered Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 11:56 PM Sophia - I thnk engineering would be a great career to think about. When I was younger I loved building things too and built my first model airplane when I was 10. I also enjoyed building things out of clay and doing wood working - not typical 'girl' stuff but it's what I liked. Keep doing what you are interested in and that should guide you into the right field of study. You've got plenty of time to figure out the details!
