As I'm sure you know, being an engineer involves a lot of responsibility; people depend on you to design and build safe and reliable products. In order to get to this point, you need education and training. College engineering programs are designed to meet certain standards so that when you graduate, you have the knowledge necessary to build and design safe, functional systems.
