Is a B+ good enough or do I need all A's in high school?

Hi, so I am interested in engineering, especially mechanical. I am in high school and so far have received A's for all of my math classes. Right now I am taking Honors Precalculus and I have a B+. I don't think I will be able to raise my grade to an A by the time the semester is over. Is a B+ still an acceptable grade if I'm looking to be an engineer and be accepted into a good college?

Hi Maura - Yes, your B+ is going to be more than good enough. It is true that colleges look at grades on your application, but they also look at what type of classes you got those grades in. Honor per-calculus sounds like a great class to be taking and B+ is a very good grade. Remember colleges also look for well rounded people, not just at your GPA. So make sure you are having fun, get involved with a club, sport, or other extracurricular activity.
    Good Luck!
