I am a female student just completed my schooling and trying to get into an engineering college. I am thinking of taking mechatronics, if i dont get a seat in electronics or computer engineering. please someone help me. Is it suitable for girls to take up mechatronics , where only boys choose mechanics as subject? what is the scope for mechatronics, in what field can they get into after studies? I also want to know what master's degree can be done after bachelors in mechatronics. thankyou

Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field which has applications in areas like biomedical, computer aided design, data communication networks and bio technology systems etc. These are the application areas where girls would have absolutely no problem working. The scope and applications of mechatronics are vibrant in years to come. For higher studies, you can take up one of the above fields which are available in almost all good universities in India and abroad. All the best !!!
