There are too many Muslim women and engineers around the world, and they proved to the world that women can do a lot in all fields and in Engineering field as well .. Like Eng. Mariam Al Thani - past IEEE Section Chair in UAE. You need to focus on your education and work hardly to prove that women engineers can do a lot to the world whether you are a Muslim or not :) Zahra Khan , Massachusetts Institute of Technology Answered Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 4:22 PM In terms of an academic or workplace environment, you shouldn't have any issues being Muslim. Social challenges in college are the same regardless of which field you are in such as finding a social circle that maybe is not that much into partying etc. But I've experienced zero discrimination as a Muslim during my time in college and in the workplace.
