I studied Mechanical Engineering in Sevilla (Spain), and from the beginning I felt it had been the right choice. I enjoyed the classes, especially the fundamentals during the first 2 years. I decided to specialize in the energetic branch. After finishing the bachelor, I started working in the automotive field. My main focus during these last 6 years has been the catalysts and filters used to reduce the vehicle's emissions. I enjoy my job, it helps me stay creative, stay informed of new developments in the field, and requires interdisciplinary skills to reach the goals of reducing emissions under the customer specifications. Not to mention that I get to travel around! My husband and I are on a 3-year assignment in Michigan, USA, having a great time and getting to know new cultures and work-styles!

What childhood/youth experiences influenced you to choose you career choice? Did any adult influence you? What were your goals and did they change over time? Did you successfully complete these goals? I know these are a lot of questions so you can only answer 1 or 2 if ...
