Advice for presenting to other students
Dear Ms. Sterling, I am one of the very few girls on the FIRST Robotics team for my school. Looking at the lack of girls I thought that the girls from the team could go around to the local middle schools and give presentations specifically aimed at girls to hopefully inspire them into at least looking at engineering as an option for a career. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for ways that we could make the presentations as engaging as possible. I find your story truly inspirational. Thank you for doing what you do, Genevieve

    Dear Genevieve,

I would suggest doing hands-on engineering activities with the girls so they can have fun playing with simple engineering principles. Sign up for our mailing list, the link is on the homepage of our website: Every week, we are sending out a newsletter that includes DIY engineering projects. Perhaps you could use this as inspiration?

Best of luck and kudos for taking the time to inspire little girls. Having a role model like you will be a life-changing experience for them.
