Also I'm interested in neonatology. How can best combine these fields? which track do I follow? Neonatology is not usually a college major, so you'll probably want to start with a biomedical engineering (BME) degree. If you can, you may be able to involve yourself in neonatal research during your undergraduate training. After that you will need to consider whether you want to continue in engineering or go to medical school. Both routes are options after an undergraduate degree in BME.
