What is Human Factors Engineering?
Hi, I'm Marie and I am asking to have more information on Human Factors Engineering. What do they do? Is there interaction with people or is there more lab work?

    Hello Marie,
    Human Factors studies systems or a specific job's impact on a human. You can work anywhere from a lab to a company. Since I am still in academia most of the research is done in a lab. Some projects I know of are finding ways to lessen the amount of injuries people get from handling baggage at airports, coming up with interfaces for websites and tools utilize by schools, companies etc., doing time studies to determine standards for different jobs.
