I'm good at science and math, and just kind of don't know what to do. Should I just keep taking math and science classes? Are there any programs I could go to? I know it's a competitive field of work and just want to better my chances in getting a job. The NASA Careers Page has a lot of great information about finding a career there. It also mentions a summer program that they used to have for high school students. Since you are a freshman, you might want to keep an eye on that program to see if it gets reinstated before you finish high school. Otherwise just keep working toward an engineering degree. There is a lot of advice on EngineerGirl about preparing for college that may be helpful. Check out our “How to Get There” blog to get started. Hope that helps.
