How crucial is it to have women in STEM careers?
Hi Debbie, We are pupils from West Kirby Grammar School in the UK. For a project in our school we have to create a display about women in engineering. Our main aim is to inspire the girls at our school to consider a career in engineering and in STEM areas. We would be very grateful if you could answer a few questions for us that give us a bit more of an insight into the world of engineering for women. The first question is what is it like to work in a male dominated industry do you have to push your ideas a little more than the guys? The second is could you please tell us what your best experience is from working in the industry, it could be an amazing once in a lifetime trip or something you do every day, whatever you think! Also how crucial is it to have women in STEM careers, what do we bring to the team? We would be very grateful if you could answer our questions, Many thanks, Eilean, Ruth, Rebecca and Becky
