Do you have any advice for this young nerd?
Hi Debbie! I've just finished my first year as an Undergraduate Civil Engineer at Imperial College London. Watching your TED talk a few years ago made you one of a long list of women who inspired me to go into STEM. It was brought to my attention recently that most maths and science based children's toys are predominantly aimed at boys, if not gender neutral. I want to design a set of products that are aimed deliberately at young girls and helping them to explore science. Naturally this reminded me the work you did producing your book. What stands in my way most is I have no idea how to have a book published, or a toy manufactured, or any product produced to a standard where it can be produced on a wider scale. Do you have any advice for this young nerd? All the best! Olivia
