Biography
Sonya Kori graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Computer Science and currently works at Deloitte Consulting LLP as a Senior Consultant in their Technology group. She has supported clients both in the Commercial and Federal sectors over the past five years. Her client experience spans across multiple areas ranging from project management, the software development life cycle (SDLC), and data analytics. Outside of Deloitte Consulting, Sonya is very passionate and supporting and encouraging more women to pursue degrees and careers in computer science and engineering. At N.C. State, Sonya actively participated in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) chapter at the university and held various positions within the organization such as Secretary, Vice President, and Co-President. Furthermore, she also served as an Engineering Ambassador to represent N.C. State's College of Engineering and to help recruit and retain students in engineering.Lastly, Sonya also served as a mentor for the Stanford University based She++ program and The Huffington Post's Women in STEM mentorship program.
