Is a biomedical engineering undergraduate degree too specific?
Hi Shruti, I am really interested in biomedical engineering because I am passionate about biology and math and the idea of improving people's lives through technology is very interesting and captivating. However, I am aware that biomedical engineering is a fairly new field, so I am afraid that there are fewer jobs available for people that have a bachelors in biomedical engineering. I had people suggest to me to major in mechanical or electrical and then do masters in biomedical engineering. They told me that biomedical major is too specific. I would really like your opinion on this and what did you do?
