Why did you choose engineering?
Because of interest in Mathematics and Design.

High School - BVVS High School, Bagalkot, Karnataka, India Graduation- Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot, Karnataka, India Post Graduation: IIT Kharagpur, West Bengal, India Doctoral: IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India.
What kinds of activities have typically been part of your work?
Interaction with students, Counseling students, Knowledge sharing with rural women.
What do you like best about being an engineer?
Analyzing problems systematically to get a smart solution
Which of your career accomplishments are you proudest of?
Pursuing M.Tech and Ph.D.
What challenges have you met and conquered in your pursuit of an engineering career?
Designing new circuits for Hearing Impaired.

Husband: Professor and Senior Member IEEE at BEC Bagalkot. Ph.D from IIT Kharagpur. Renewable Energy Systems Expert.
Daughter: Presently studying Engineering.
What are your short-term (1-2 years) and long-term (10+ years) goals?
Short-Term goals-Continue & complete the R&D projects in hand. Long-Term goals-To excel in R&D and Create a new Laboratory for designing tools for hearing impaired.
What (or who) had/has the greatest influence on your life choices?
My Father - who helped me to choose Engineering. My Husband - who helped me to pursue M.Tech & Ph.D
What advice would you give to a young woman considering a career in engineering?
Engineering course is challenging field. Helps us to analyze and design new gadgets.
Describe something about your life outside of work: your hobbies, or perhaps a favorite book.
Singing is my favorite hobby. Other than that I also read novels - general & fiction.
