Clean Water for Those In Need

Did you know you can’t live without water?  It’s amazing what water can do, in fact our bodies are made up of over 50% water. But drinking dirty water can be harmful, in fact 80% of harmful diseases are caused by dirty water. This essay is about the Nomad Portable Water Purification System which is a technology that turns dirty water into clean water.

The Nomad Portable Water Purification is able to bring clean water to a disaster area. For an example they are used when there are earthquakes, tornados, tsunamis, and lots more disasters. They are portable so you can bring them anywhere where there is a disaster! The Nomad is able to produce 25 gallons per minute or 36,000 gallons per day of clean water! It can be used with lakes, wells, ponds, rivers, streams, and even polluted floodwaters. WOW!, Once again, it is portable meaning it can come with you wherever there is a disaster.

It even comes prepared. On top of the Nomad being portable it comes with its own generator, hoses, pumps, and even fittings!  Talk about supplies!  Now you know what it has but don't you wonder how it's used?  It mixes two different filtration systems which are sediment filtration and carbon block filtration systems.  Scientists figured out that the system provides water that is 99.9999% clean water.

Like I said before, dirty water causes diseases such as E. Coli and Giardia.  Also, other bad chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides are often in polluted water which are harmful. The Nomad carefully removes them from the water making it clean. If one of these chemicals were to get into the water it would be harmful to you, if you were to drink a lot of them you would die. But you also have to think about the trained scientist who made this technology to make sure it doesn’t happen.

If I were to change the Nomad System, I would make water bottles so that once you transform the dirty water into clean water you can give it right away. On top of that the water bottles would be recyclable. I would also put it on wheels, that would make it less heavy, and it would be more efficient to move.

The Nomad Water Purification System is a magnificent system because it provides clean water to people in need. The most important thing to provide to people in disaster areas is clean water. I hope you learned a little about the Nomad Water Purification and enjoyed learning about it as much as I did. Thanks for reading.
