Can I compress the explanation to fit the word limit?

Question: A true design process is a huge, multi-stepped topic that cannot fit into the word limit. Therefore, is it alright to simply write about the main design of the chosen machinery (which covers a few of the major components of design process)?

Dear Aditya.  Yes, you will need to work within the word limit, so compressing your thoughts to the main ideas and cutting extraneous details may be necessary if you find you don't have enough room.
