I have a chemical engineering degree, can I work in the food industry?

Hi Nesli,

I'm a second year chemical engineer and I'm in a bit of a pickle. I really want to work in the food industry, similar to what you've talked about with the ice cream and such. Unfortunately, I can't go into being a biochemical engineer, because I did not take high school biology. Is it still possible to work in this field with just a "normal" chemical engineering degree? I'm quite interested in the design and development of food products. Thanks in advance. -Eve
