Career Description

"You definitely won't get bored being an engineer!"

What I Do

I am currently working at Chevron in the Global Power Generation Group. I help design and develop new combined heat and power plants around the world.

Why Engineering?

I always loved figuring things out when I was younger and math and science were very easy for me. It just seems like that's the way my mind works. Engineering was a natural decision for me since those were the classes I was most interested in taking.

The Best Part of Being an Engineer

I like working with colleagues to solve a problem and design a solution. I enjoy learning about new things all the time.

Proud Moments

Graduating from college. Although I fell into my major quite naturally it was a lot of really hard work. There were times I wasn't sure I'd make it.

My Family

My parents have retired and live on a farm in Texas. My oldest and only sister lives in Washington D.C. She graduated from Duke University with degrees in History and Political Science. She is finishing her law degree at Georgetown and works at a public affairs firm managing public policy and corporate communications.

Want to be an Engineer?

Engineering is a field that is continuously growing and changing. You definitely won't get bored being an engineer!
