Career Description

"You can do anything that I can do, but you can do it better."

What I Do

As a Flight Test Engineer, I develop critical test plans, and procedures in order to ensure company products and services comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. I also prepare, review, and submit test documents to the Federal Aviation Administration for the certification of airplane systems. In addition, I analyze, review and validate test data, and conduct research to improve efficiency and capability. I also interface with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement test engineering solutions.

Why Engineering?

I decided to become an Engineer because of my love of flying airplanes. I decided to study Aerospace to get a better understanding of how the airplane moves through the air.

My Day At Work

A day of work for me starts out with reading my calendar for the day. Attending meetings, then boarding an airplane to setup for testing. After testing, an analysis of the data is conducted and a report is written.

The Best Part of Being an Engineer

The best part about being an Engineer is being an inspiration to other potential Engineers and Aviation Enthusiasts.

Proud Moments

I am most proud of my decision to join the Boeing Flight Test team because being a member of the team has inspired me to accomplish so much more than I ever thought existed.

Challenges

The challenge to learn more is a constant pursuit for me. The more I know, the more I want to know. After moving to Seattle, I had to overcome the challenge of living and working in a new place where I knew very few people.

My Family

I am fortunate to have many friends and family that help to motivate and challenge me to remain focused on my goals.

Dreams and Goals

Over the next few years, I plan to graduate with a Masters Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics and to transition from primarily being an Engineer to being a professional pilot with The Boeing Company.

Inspiration

The most incredible and amazing persons in my life are my close family and friends.

Hobbies

Outside work I like to volunteer with my Sorority sisters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated for different service activities/events. Flying with friends to different places along the coast and shoe shopping with my sisters.

Want to be an Engineer?

Always set your goals and take an active interest in achieving them. Remember that just because there's no door to be opened, that does not mean that there won't be one for you to walk through once you get there.

School Days

I graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, Georgia. I received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Science Engineering from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama.
