Future City Competition
Working with a teacher and engineer mentor, student teams design a future city using SimCity 2000, then build scale models of a section of their city.

Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
Held annually in May, the Intel ISEF brings together over 1,200 students from 48 states and 40 nations to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips and the grand prize: a trip to attend the Nobel Prize Ceremonies in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams
Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams is a non-competitive initiative that awards grants up to $10,000 each to teams of high school students, teachers, and mentors to identify a problem and invent a solution for it. Designed to excite, empower, and encourage students through hands-on problem solving, InvenTeams aims to inspire a new generation of inventors.

National Geographic Bee
The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography.

Odyssey of the Mind
This international program encourages creative problem-solving challenging students in a variety of areas, from building mechanical devices to giving their own interpretation of literary classics.

RI/SME Student Robotic Engineering Challenge
The RI/SME is a competition for middle school through college students where students can demonstrate their knowledge of the manufacturing process through robotics and automation contests.

Science Olympiad
Following the format of popular board games, TV shows and athletic games, Science Olympiad tournaments are interscholastic competitions consisting of a series of individual and team events. Teams of up to 15 students compete in four divisions: grades K-3, grades 3-6, grades 6-9, and grades 9-12. Rules vary for event to event and the complete rules and guidelines are made available to schools upon registration.

TOYchallenge
TOYchallenge is a national toy design challenge for 5th-8th graders sponsored by Sally Ride Science. It is a chance for teams of imaginative kids to create a new toy or game and a great way to learn about science, engineering, and the design process!
