Mary Bilstein asked Tiera Fletcher (Guinn), Boeing AddedTuesday, January 2, 2018 at 5:46 AM I am not sure what to do. I am an 11 year old student in Colorado, and I have been interested in building things. Since I was little I was always building things of my own. I recently took a trip to the Space Foundation Center and we learned so much about going to mars. I want to build the rocket that the astronauts into space. I am not sure what programs I could get into to help me with my engineering. Do you have any suggestions? I'm so excited to hear from a future engineer such as yourself! A great program to start preparing you for an engineering career in aerospace is Space Camp at the United States Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Kids like you learn how to live like an astronaut and the considerations you have to take into account when building and designing vehicles for astronauts. It's a great program that I highly recommend! Also, check out local colleges near you for engineering summer programs or even programs that are offered throughout the academic year. Hope this helps!
