Biography
Graduated in 2014 from The University of Warwick with a MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating I started with SP Energy Networks, who own and operate the electricity transmission and distribution network in Central Scotland and Northern Wales/Merseyside areas. The graduate scheme is two years long and, since joining in September in 2104, I have loved every minute of it. I was initially a little apprehensive about going joining a power company but the support has been fantastic and I have added a number of skills to my repertoire. I was challenged even further when I began my the 2nd year of training and was placed with RTS Strategy & Projects which deals with our SCADA systems. Let's just say there is never a dull moment and the myriad of skills that I have armed myself with is going to increase even further! Mechanical engineer, turned power engineer, turned IT engineer! I am incredibly proud to be an engineer and aim to encourage more girls to get into the subject. It truly is a career with endless opportunities and I have never looked back.
