Engineers!
I am an Electrical Engineer from Pittsburgh, PA. I planned on being a Math teacher when I entered college, but found that I really liked Physics too. I was taking most of my classes with engineering students - and realized, hey, I could be an engineer! When I researched career opportunities, I learned that engineering positions paid a lot of money right out of college, and away I went! As graduation neared, I interviewed for a number of jobs, and gravitated toward a sales & marketing development program for a company that manufactured electrical equipment. After a successful 15 years at my first company, in a number of sales, marketing, operations and management roles, I recently left to pursue another passion of mine and spend more time with my kids. I am currently a Business Development Director for a company that provides engagement services for big companies. We provide ways to motivate employees to look forward to their workday and give it their all. I feel my work contributes to increasing the happiness of my clients' employees. Very rewarding! I am married with two kids, and have had the opportunity to travel the world and live in a number of different places. I attribute my successful career and home life to making the decision to pick engineering as a major in college.
