What I Do I currently am a leader on regulatory science and innovation, and I support the FDA Chief Scientist. I create mechanisms for building collaborations to solve complex regulatory problems, for medicine, food and other FDA-regulated products.
Why Engineering? I chose engineering because I enjoy solving problems, especially complex ones. Breaking down a problem into smaller parts and solving those, then piecing the solutions together is a strong skill I use everyday as a leader.
School Days I attended 3 universities and one vocational school: University of Connecticut, Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics, BS and MS Cornell University, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and Applied Mathematics, PhD Stanford University, Biomechanics, Post doctoral fellowship E.C. Goodwin Technical Vocational High School, Certified Mechanical Draftsman
Best Part I like to use my critical thinking skills to solve a broad range of problems, and to be a connector. To hear good ideas in one sector and try to apply them in another sector.
