What I Do I am currently a Senior Manager at Verizon. I manage a team of (9) employees who do contracts management for the company. These contracts enable us to order some of the products and services needed to deliver wireless services across the country.
School Days I went to Binghamton University and received a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Italian. While working for Verizon, I attending Fordham Law School in the evenings and received my JD!
My Day At Work My typical day at work includes keeping up with emails and joining many conference calls. When I am not on calls, I work on a variety of things. I spend time talking with the employees who work for me, discussing their workloads and any particular questions they may have about the contracts they are working on. Sometimes I am reading contracts and process documents, so that I can summarize the information and provide advice to the many wireless teams across the country that we support. And some days, I spend time taking training classes that Verizon offers for my technical and/or leadership development.
My Family I married my husband, Rob, in 2007. Today we live in Long Island, and have two children -- Michael, age 11 and Alexa, age 9. Michael plays baseball and Alexa is a dancer, and the thing they most have in common in their love for pasta! We love to plan and take vacations. During the recent Covid pandemic, we spent time checking out local parks and trails, some which include beautiful views of the north and south shores of Long Island.
Dreams and Goals My short-term goals include continuing to develop myself as a people leader, and helping my employees stay engaged and motivated at work. In the longer term, I would like to learn more about the various organizations within Verizon and evolve as a leader who deliver results, drives change, and nurtures development. Outside of work, I would like to be able to pay it forward and give back to the schools and other organizations in my community.
