What I Do I am a Systems engineer and currently working in Design Assurance. I work with a huge variety of people and teams to make sure that the engineering teams I support are always able to send the best quality work we can possibly do out to our customers.
Why Engineering? Engineering is fun! I love puzzles and math. Systems engineering is like putting together a puzzle - expect the puzzle pieces are requirements from the customer, costs, schedules, and what we actually can make!
Challenges I was not very good at chemistry, and I had to work really hard to pass that class. Once I got a job and had a family, it was a challenge to balance family and work and volunteer activities. That balance frequently changes, so learning to embrace change is a huge skill!
My Family I have four children (23, 22, 19, and 17), a chocolate lab named Tim and a cat named Raven!
Dreams and Goals I've only been in my current role for less than a year. In the next year, I plan to grow and learn this job and be awesome. My 5 year goal is to become a manager.
Inspiration People who challenge me to do and be more every day - my mom, my high school physics teacher Mrs. Kirkeide, my manager Lita.
Hobbies I love to hike, camp, sew, read, garden, listen to music, and CrossFit! One of my favorite things to do is work with scouts and other youth groups. I lead aquatics and camping and leadership activities. It's so fun!!
